Our Story
Fired & Framed was born from a simple belief:
Art is not just something we preserve — it is something we create.

For years, through Matted Memories & More, we’ve honored life’s most meaningful moments with museum-grade framing and heirloom preservation. We’ve protected the stories, the milestones, and the legacy pieces that matter.

Now, we invite you into the making of those moments.

Fired & Framed is our working art studio — a space where clay meets hands, where paint meets canvas, and where creativity becomes a form of connection. Here, the focus is not perfection. It is being present.

Our classes are designed as a retreat from the pace of everyday life. Whether you’re shaping clay, painting pottery, or creating alongside friends, you’ll find a welcoming environment that encourages exploration, learning, and quiet enjoyment. Guided by supportive instruction, you’ll leave not only with a finished piece, but with a renewed sense of creativity.

We believe art builds character.
Art builds community.
Art builds legacy.
Fired & Framed exists to create space for all three.

Come create something worth preserving.

Hello
My name is Jeff Kimball. I am an Air Force retiree, artist, designer, and master woodworker. After more than 23 years in fire protection, I had the privilege of serving alongside and meeting families around the world.

Across every assignment and community, I noticed something meaningful—people hold on to the things that tell their story. Photographs, medals, letters, handmade gifts, and objects collected over a lifetime.

That realization led me to create Matted Memories & More LLC in 2018, a service-disabled veteran-owned small business dedicated to preserving life’s most meaningful moments through museum-grade custom framing.

But preservation is only part of the story.
Fired & Framed was created as the next chapter.
