Service Description
Create functional pottery designed for serving, sharing, and entertaining. In this guided handbuilding class, you’ll focus on slab-built forms and thoughtful design for pieces meant to be used at the table. Choose one project to create during the session: • Charcuterie Board / Serving Platter (large slab form) • Set of Dipping Bowls You’ll learn slab construction, compression, edge finishing, and surface texture techniques while designing pieces that balance beauty and everyday function. 🔸 Upgrade option available: Add the Double Project Upgrade at checkout to create both projects during the same session. No prior pottery experience is required. All clay, glazing, and kiln firing are included. # Handbuilding Pottery Classes – Booking Policy ## Reservations Required All guests must reserve in advance. Class sizes are intentionally limited to allow for hands-on instruction, personal guidance, and a relaxed studio experience. ## Age Requirement Handbuilding classes are designed for ages 10 and older unless otherwise noted. Guests under 10 may attend only when accompanied by a participating adult. ## Cancellation & Rescheduling Cancellations or reschedule requests must be made at least 24 hours before your scheduled class. * Changes made at least 24 hours in advance will receive a full credit toward a future class. * Requests made less than 24 hours before the class are non-refundable and non-transferable. ## No-Shows Guests who do not attend their scheduled class without notice will forfeit their booking. ## Multi-Week or Series Classes For classes that meet over multiple weeks, guests are encouraged to attend all sessions to complete their projects successfully. * Missed sessions are not refundable. * Due to the nature of pottery instruction, make-up sessions may not always be available. * If a make-up session is offered, it must be completed within 30 days. ## Arrival Time Please arrive 10–15 minutes early to get settled before class begins. Late arrivals may miss part of the instruction and may not be able to make up missed time. ## What’s Included Your booking includes clay, tools, instruction, use of studio equipment, glazing, and kiln firing for completed class projects. ## Finished Pieces Pottery projects require drying, bisque firing, glazing, and glaze firing before they are ready for pickup. * Finished pieces are typically ready within 3–5 weeks. * Pickup notifications will be sent once work is complete. * Pieces left unclaimed for more than 60 days may be discarded due to limited storage space. ## Studio Guidelines Handbuilding classes are creative and hands-on. Please wear comfortable clothing that you do not mind getting a little clay on. For safety and studio cleanliness: * Closed-toe shoes are recommended. * Long hair should be tied back. * Guests should avoid bringing food or drinks into the clay work area.
